BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM

WAYFINDING & SIGNAGE
Exterior signage package designed for Boehringer Ingelheim's diverse campus near Columbus, Ohio.

Boehringer Ingelheim is a research-driven group of companies dedicated to the discovery, development, manufacture, and marketing of innovative healthcare products. For over 135 years, Boehringer Ingelheim has focused on long-term performance rather than short-term profits. Day by day, more than 52,000 employees of Boehringer Ingelheim create value through innovation with a clear goal: to provide more health and improve the lives of both humans and animals.

Boehringer Ingelheim asked us to design a wayfinding and signage package for their Roxanne Labs campus near Columbus, Ohio. We started by designing a series of site communication standards defining a scope and location map for all proposed wayfinding and signage.

Next, the signage system was crafted to account for hierarchy, brand standards, approach speeds and distances, communication requirements, durability, production method, delivery schedule, and a host of other considerations.

Boehringer Ingelheim took our finished designs and had them fabricated and installed on their campus. As a result, the new signage successfully knits together a campus of buildings with different architectural personalities while also serving as an important first impression of Boehringer Ingelheim as modern, precise, and approachable.
